My name is Katherine Saussy and I am SO excited to be your Pre-K teacher this year! I have lived in Savannah my entire life, with the exception of one year working in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and my college years, which were spent in Statesboro, GA. I graduated from Georgia Southern University in May 2014 with a Bachelor's of Science in Child and Family Development and a minor in Psychology. I worked at a childcare center for a year and then moved to Fort Lauderdale to work for a non-profit called Deliver the Dream, an organization that helps children and families going through an illness or crisis. I moved back to Savannah in September of 2016, where I continued to work with children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old. I began working at May Howard Elementary in July 2017. I recently obtained my Master's of Art in Early Childhood Education in December 2018 from Georgia Southern University (GO EAGLES!!). I have a wonderful Australian Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix named Dakota. I am also getting married in June 2020 to my wonderful fiance, Keifer! I enjoy going to the beach, out on the boat, and learning new recipes to cook. This will be my third year teaching Pre-K and I can't wait to see what the year has in store!
